BACKGROUND Please describe your organization and your role there. Sunset Lighting is a national provider of lighting, electrical, and sign repair and maintenance services to high-end retailers. I'm the operations manager, and work closely with our president to oversee our marketing and sales efforts. OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE What business challenge were you trying to address with VeracityColab? We had recently lost a major account and were looking to revitalize our sales and marketing efforts. We wanted to produce a video that could differentiate our company from a sea of competitors and reach a target demographic that is incredibly busy and has a short attention span. SOLUTION Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail. VeracityColab fully directed and produced a new marketing video for us. They also advised our team on the strategy of using the video effectively. How did you come to work with VeracityColab? We were working with a small agency called Breviti to guide a rebrand for us. We loved working with them, and the founder of that company [Dean Del Sesto] is a partner at VeracityColab. Working with Dean was a pleasure. He was incredibly smart, and brought much value to the company. After that experience, it was a no-brainer to work with VeracityColab. Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms? It was around $40,000. What is the timeline of this engagement? August to November of 2015. RESULTS & FEEDBACK Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement? The video has served a variety of functions for us. It's been a great sales tool, and a great recruiting tool. It's brought more gravitas and weight to our brand and helped us compete with companies that are much larger and better funded than us. What distinguishes VeracityColab from other providers? VeracityColab was extremely generous with their time. We've never made a video before, and we had much hesitancy. We had so many meetings with them, and they just opened up their office to us. We had many conversations and brainstorming sessions, and they went beyond for the size client we were. Also, assigning a video success manager to each project was incredible. We always had one point of contact, and she was always on top of everything, making sure the project ran smoothly. Is there anything VeracityColab could have improved or done differently?
